To complete the “Apprentice Healer” quest in Phantom Blade Zero, you must find three medicinal herbs for Yu’er. It’s easier said than done, as two of these herbs are found in a hidden valley, and entering this mysterious location is quite the challenge on its own.
Here’s where to find the three medicinal herbs and complete the “Apprentice Healer” quest in Phantom Blade Zero.
How to start ‘Apprentice Healer’ in Phantom Blade Zero
The “Apprentice Healer” quest is the second quest given to you by Yu’er, following the “Flesh Lily” quest. However, there’s no need to complete “Flesh Lily” first — you simply have to speak with Yu’er at the Outpost, the first village you’ll come across in the Weeping Creek Valley. She’ll give you a recipe and ask you to gather three medicinal herbs to treat the wounded.

Yu’er will spawn at the Outpost after you’ve defeated Peng Meng, The Axemaster. She’s right next to the blacksmith, very close to the Outpost Bell.
Where to find the medicinal herbs in ‘Apprentice Healer’
While the approximate locations of the three herbs are marked on your map, the map isn’t very detailed, so it may still be difficult to find them. Most importantly, you mustn’t waste time trying to reach the second and third herb if you haven’t completed the main story in Weeping Creek Valley yet; you must defeat the main boss, The Hunt, first.
Our guide on how to unfog the full Weeping Creek Valley map explains this in more detail, but in short, you should use the Hunter’s Chain Sickle to grab the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key at the top of the Sha-Chi Tower, then unlock the gate at the Creek Valley Plains Entrance bell. The second and third medicinal herbs needed to complete “Apprentice Healer” are found in this valley.
So, with the prerequisite objectives taken care of, here’s where you’ll find the three medicinal herbs.
Where to find the Blood-Stopper Vine in ‘Apprentice Healer’
The first herb, Blood-Stopper Vine, is found on the path just east of The Axemaster’s Holding Cell.

As you walk across the bridge toward Creek Valley Plains Entrance, carefully drop down into the gorge on the left. Defeat the enemies, then pick up the item with the orange glow to receive the Blood-Stopper Vine.
Where to find the Congealeaf in ‘Apprentice Healer’
Starting from the Long Pillar Overlook bell, follow the main road east. After passing the watchtower, don’t drop down into the lower valley, but use your wall run ability to stick to the higher path. A bit further ahead, next to a large rock formation and directly opposite the cave entrance (the door that requires the Rusted Loong Key), you’ll find the Congealeaf medicine.

Where to find the Blemish Goldweed in ‘Apprentice Healer’
Teleport to Weeping Creek Long Pillar. If you haven’t been there yet, be sure to grab the Rusted Loong Key from the chest at the Long Pillar Overlook bell, then follow the main path east until you see the locked cave entrance to your right. Pass through the caves to reach Weeping Creek Long Pillar.

Take the path northwest of the massive dragon statue. A bit further ahead, on the right side of the path, you’ll find the Blemish Goldweed medicinal herb.
Once you’ve gathered the three medicinal herbs, return to Yu’er to complete the “Apprentice Healer” quest in Phantom Blade Zero. She’ll give you the Medicine Case accessory as a reward.
